Our Goals at ADS
Our goals at ADS all revolve around methods to best facilitate improvements in the oral health of Nunavummiut (people of Nunavut). We strive to best serve these at-risk populations and not only meet but exceed their oral health needs for generations to come.
Cultural Competence
ADS also aims to ensure that our practitioners are well experienced in working with Inuit peoples, and in remote arctic regions to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of services. With our cultural competency training we believe our practitioners will effectively build trust with the Inuit.
Best Possible Care
ADS believes that our competence in Inuit culture, history and socio-economic health factors will allow us to provide the best possible oral care for the residents of Nunavut. We recognize where the problems lie in delivering oral health care services and will work tirelessly to ensure these issues are not only rectified, but that a trusting relationship is built between the ADS Team, and the Inuit people.
Meaningful Employment Opportunities
ADS is conscious to the socio-economic issues faced by the Nunavummiut and aims to hire qualified practitioners, clerks and assistants from each Nunavut Region, when possible. ADS will hire and train any Nunavummiut of Inuit descent for any relevant career opportunities.
